We will be camping at Camp Manatoc, near Young Explorer’s Lodge. On Saturday, we will be taking care of the hiking requirement needed for Tenderfoot 1b, 5c, Second Class, 1c, 2b, 2c, 3a and 3b.
SC3b is hiking at least 5 miles. We are planning this hike on the OA trail, which is longer than 5 miles, but by doing it this weekend, it prevents it from taking a half day away from Summer Camp, when it is offered again. We will be hiking to Kendall Lake – Winking Lizard – Bolanz Rd – Salt Run Trail then back to Kendall lake. Scouts attending should bring money to eat at the Winking Lizard, as we will stop for lunch and relax as the hike will be strenuous.
