Fishing for Community Service

Posted on June 6, 2014June 6, 2014 by Scoutmaster

Sign up now for a rare opportunity to fish at Munroe Falls swim lake. This is a unique community service project open only to members of Troop 155!
Bring your poles, fishing gear, bait and a bucket to hold the fish. Only BARBLESS hooks will be allowed (if you can’t find barbless hooks, clip off the barb!).
All fish will be collected by the Metro Parks staff and transported to various public fishing ponds within the Metro Parks. Per Ohio Department of Wildlife and Metro Park’s Ranger Department, a fishing license WILL NOT be required for this project. Scouts and family members may fish. However, we are limited to a maximum of 20 persons fishing.
If you are interested, contact Gary Davis at [email protected] or 330-929-6535 with any questions or to reserve a spot! All participants will earn community service hours and participation can be counted towards the Fishing Merit Badge.
This all happens on Saturday, June 28th from 6:30am-9:00am, RAIN OR SHINE. Summit Metroparks Munroe Falls Lake Area. 521 S. River Rd., Munro Falls 44262.
Turn left after the gatehouse. We will be fishing off the bridge.
