Learning about Gettysburg

Posted on May 12, 2013 by Scoutmaster

At the meeting tonight, a few of the older scouts learned a little more about the soldiers that fought at Gettysburg, courtesy of a friend of Mr. Walters who does Civil War reenacting. A full Union uniform as well as a wool greatcoat were loaned to Mr. Walters to demonstrate what the soldiers wore during battles and on the road. The younger scouts were at the park working on requirements for their Tenderfoot rank. Then the entire troop gathered and had discussions about the coming elections for troop positions.
