We are having an important parent meeting on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Moose. We are asking that at least one parent attend this meeting. We will be discussing the upcoming fundraiser at Sarah’s Vineyard the weekend of June 17, 18 & 19. We are dividing up the different job duties and are asking for people to take charge of the different responsibilities so as we can all share in the planning and preparation for the event. This event has great earning potential and we want to be as successful as we can. Sarah’s Vineyard is planning on an even bigger turnout than last year. We are grateful to them for this opportunity and the support they have shown our troop. If we all work together, I know this will be accomplished.
Some of the areas/jobs we are looking for people to take on are:
- Booth set-up on Thursday, June 16 (possibly throughout the week as needed)
- Equipment procurement/mgmt.
- Grillers
- Food prep
- Servers during event
- Donation solicitors
- Volunteer sign-ups/time sheets
- Daily clean-up throughout the weekend
- Monday teardown
These are just some of the areas we will need help.
**If you are unable to volunteer, please let us know, there is always something you can do.**

Dues – i.e. what the dues are used for? Merit badges, equipment, outings, training, merit badge booklets, etc. Also, a statement of account for each scout will be provided.
Merit Badge Counselors – We need merit badge counselors–What is a merit badge counselor and how can you help out. How do you as a parent help your scout be successful and move toward becoming Eagle Scout?
Status of troop–Questions, comments, concerns.
