Due to the camp out this weekend, there will NOT be a meeting on 01/30. Our next meeting will be 02/06. At that meeting we will be working on developing patrols and having ELECTIONS. Please have the scouts wear their BSA Class A shirt to meetings. I have received a lot of feedback on this issue. This is something that everyone wants the boys to get in the habit of doing. It’s a matter of pride and I hope our boys are proud to be in a great troop and a great program.
For those scouts coming on the camp out this weekend, here are some last minute news:
- Meet Friday @ 6:30 p.m.at the Moose Club – We need to load up the gear into our vehicles and caravan out to Camp Butler.
- In addition to the rest of the winter stuff, bring:
- Mess Kit – Need bowl, spoon, cup (we will not be providing paper products)
- Water Bottle
- Sled – we will be sled riding in the afternoon
- Large Flashlight
- On Sunday, we will need help bringing the gear back to the Moose Club. We will also need people to take a tent home to dry out.
I’m really excited about this weekend. Weather looks like it will be in the high 20’s, low 30’s. This is a bonus from the single digits of last weekend. We’re going to be working on our cooking, camping, fire building, lashings. Looking to bring some scouts closer to advancement.
